Event Tech Access for Portal and Players: Tech Share Pro

Here is a brief overview of how the portal and player work:

MY PROFILE

We have already entered some of your profile information, including your name and email address. For your security, please change your password.

You can also manage your event viewing experience by toggling between “Onsite” and “Online” modes. To do this, follow the following steps-

Go to ‘My Profile’> Edit Profile>Scroll down to the bottom of your profile page where you will see “Where are you attending from? (Please refresh the page after clicking on update)”, toggle Enable or Disable according to your preference.

ATTENDEES

The Attendees section lists all registered attendees, speakers and exhibitors sorted by color. Click on an attendee icon to visit their My Profile page.

To network with a fellow attendee, click on the attendee’s profile picture to open his/her profile. Use the “Contact Me” button to reach out to the attendee directly.

Please note: Your contact details will only be visible to other attendees when they click on your profile and visit your individual profile page, and if you have enabled visibility using the toggle option.

SCHEDULE

The schedule provides date/time/venue information about each conference session. To watch a live session, click on the “Watch Now button, which is located within each live-streamed session’s description details.

If you are an Online attendee, you will be able to watch the session and submit a question using the “Ask a Question” button.

If you are an Onsite attendee, you will be able to submit a question using the “Ask a Question” button on the player.

ONLINE PLAYER

Once the video player has launched, you can watch the session live (while the session is running). Six control buttons are located at the bottom of your video player window, as follows:

1. Full Screen - Makes the player full screen.

2. Swap Screen – Enables you to indicate which screen appears in the large window and which one appears in the smaller window. (One window will show the speaker, and the other will show the speaker’s slides.)

3. Portal - Enables you to access information about the conference schedule, speakers and sponsors.

4. Ask a Question - Enables you to submit a question and upvote.

5. Help – Launches the help page pop-up window.

6. Captions – Enables you to turn on/off the (English) closed-captions.

7. BSL- Enables you to see the Sign Language option

8. Chat - one to one, group - - online and in-person attendees

ONSITE PLAYER

If you are onsite (i.e., participating in the conference in person), use these buttons to access/navigate the player:

1. Portal - Enables you to access information about the conference schedule, speakers and sponsors.

2. Ask a Question - Enables you to submit a question and upvote. Any questions not addressed during the session will be emailed to the speaker for follow-up.

3. Help - Launches the help page pop-up window.

4. Chat - one to one, group - online and in-person attendees

SPEAKERS

This section provides information about the Speakers. Click on the speaker’s photo to view his/her biography.

To connect directly with a speaker, click the “Contact Me” button located below the speaker’s profile picture. <Only if we are giving this option>
